Looks like we got the cut version, same as the DVD.

Does anyone have this? curious what the transfer is like.

I received this as a present but I haven't viewed yet. I'll report back as soon as I do. By the way, what's cut?

Thanks I believe it is a small section at the start of the film with the American tourists, same edited version as the DVD.

Anyone know what the reason for the CUTs to the DVD release were/are?

Thanks.

I've had a quick glance and all looks fine to me. Here are three screen grabs.

Sorry, I thought they'd link to full HD res but they may have been reduced.

A review on Amazon has the following to say:

The listing states 96 minutes, suggesting this would be the full UK 91 minute version of the film (plus trailer). It's not - it's the cut US version running 88 minutes, which is missing the park scene featuring Deryck Guyler, and shortening the opening scene with the American couple looking in the shop window. I know that it's not a major issue in the grand scheme of world affairs, but I'd expect if a company was bothering to put a release out on Blu-Ray, they'd at least put out the full version, rather than the cut version that's already available on DVD. The full version was released on VHS years ago. A bit disappointing.

Maybe someone in Australia will give us an UNCUT release.

Review posted to site.

No mention of the cut point raised above.

Presume Medium Rare can't afford to go back to expense of rescanning original negatives so using the cut version which is what exists for DVD and TV (pretty certain those bits weren't in the Talking Pictures TV screening. Lost my recording when my PVR went tits up and died.
