ANOTHER Motorstorm Patch (3.10)

Wow. They just don't stop with the updates for this game. It really impresses me.

Seriously-- why can't every dev team be like Evolution Studios? The majority will put out a half-broken game and NEVER patch it. These guys are giving us FREE content, and TONS of extra content to purchase if you really like the game. I'm so glad they're a first-party dev for Sony now.

Looks like this might be live in the UK only right now.. I'm not at home, can someone comment on that?

In any case, here's the deal on the update, followed by the post itself:

-2D Car Selection(Online Only)
-Mirrored Tracks(Online Only)
-Map Displaying where other cars are
-2 New Songs

The latest update to MotorStorm is out today.

Now included is a vehicle selection of 2D/3D in the host options as well as mirrored tracks.

The vehicle selections lets you have either the traditional 3D select screen or a 2D grid of the vehicles to choose from, which seems to speed up the selection process somewhat.

The host can also choose mirrored tracks which reverses the entire geometry set of the tracks. Where you went left you will now go right. An interesting mix, and will take some getting used too not to forget which way you're actually going!

The addition of a proximity meter in MotorStorm mode is also welcome, and works like the one in eliminator mode.

There are also 2 new music tracks, ‘Devils Crossing’ by Elite Force and ‘Beat The Devil’ by Jiffster (Featuring Bard)

I really wish they would include a patch that

a.) speeds up load times
b.) allows for custom soundtracks

I have to say though, Motorstorm is still one of my favorite games on PS3! I applaud Evolution studios for constantly keeping their game up to date.

At least they keep updateing the game. It will be a year old in a few months.
