Default 4BIA (Phobia)

I just watched this movie tonight and really enjoyed it. Especially the first and last of the stories that were told. I'm not sure which thread to post this in and I hear it's supposed to come to the US soon on DVD, so I was wondering if anyone has heard of it coming to Blu-Ray as well.

Here's the trailer:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sy5YsWGYRoA

I looked all over for a foreign release, but could only find a release for the sequel, which wasn't nearly as good as the first. This is one I'd buy on Blu-Ray, as long as it's not too expensive. The first story (Cell phone) and the last story (On the plane) are both incredible, the other two are decent, but not as good as the first and last. Has anyone else seen this movie?

i'm actually happy to hear you like one of the thai movies. well the sequel is pretty decent in some segment. I'd much prefer 4bia over phobia2 but unfortunately only few thai movies get blu treatment. and the only movie from GTH (upper class thai film making company who made this) that has been release on blu is phobia2 in Taiwan. it has english subtitle and it's region A. that's a good thing but to be honest i am waiting for 4bia to release too. The possibility would be come clearer if Thailand starts making blu-rays instead of importing it. that way good thai movies that are not popular internationally can also get released too.

the funny thing is most of the thai movies on blu-ray are unplayable in thai blu-ray player because of the region protection. So, i'm crossing my fingers too

The only segment I liked on Phobia 2 is the used car lot one, I don't remember what it's called, though. I would love to have both on Blu-Ray, but i liked 4bia much more.

Also, I would like to have Shutter (Original Thai Version) on Blu-Ray also...

I hear 4bia is in the UK right now in limited release, maybe the US will get it next and maybe the UK or the US will release a Blu-Ray...hopefully...

The Taiwan release is only for the 2nd one, 4bia isn't on Blu-ray...yet...

As for the 2nd one, it looks like it's locked. On yesasia.com it says that it's Blu-Ray Region A, but it says that if it was region free it'd say Region All.
I don't have it, so I can't say for sure, but according to yesasia.com...it looks like it's locked region A.

Does anyone know where to get this Blu ray from Phobia / 4bia 2? It's out of stock at yesasia for a number of months... i saw this 4bia 2 at the Cannes Film Market this year and i really enjoyed this rollercoaster ride of terror. An way way better and above the recent installments of thai horror.

jsdvd.com should have it but their ordering processing and web interface is clunky. Other than that, they're reliable.

Thanks for you reply.

It does have it, but unfortunately, "out of stock" as well

You might be lucky as I was recently with a Thai BD that was out of stock but still it shipped in week or two. Jsdvd are very fast to ship and apparently to fill stock too - if it's just available from the supplier.

Ok, since I don't see a thread about Phobia 2, I think I might post it here...

It looks like the Taiwanese BD is out of print for good. I tried looking around with all the online stores everyone knows about, and even ordered it through the local BD store. Then a few days ago the store told me their supplier couldn't even find it anymore... oh well...
