Default blurays are the reason why im alive

i dont think id be here without them. they balance out the sadness in my life and make it bearable. its sad to even say that but blurays and movies in general bring enough joy to me that i continue to go on. i dont know what id do without them

I've felt that way about movies and tennis. Glad you are finding a way to get through it

It doesn't matter what it is that keeps you going, as long as it's something, hold on to it and enjoy it!

I wouldn't worry until someone says slipcovers are the only reason they go on, of which I'd guess there's probably quite a few of on this forum...

I'm already somewhat lost as a person (a little unmotivated and directionless), but without movies I'd really be lost. They bring a great amount of joy into my life again and again (just like my wife & dogs...and coffee).

What will you do when blurays are obsolete?
That said, I concur that movies are a great way to survive the hard moments in life.

That is the main reason for collecting them in the first place. Although, they are a lot more robust, so with the proper care it should last for a good period of time.

In my case, blu rays help me go back and forth in time enabling me to relieve my childhood (when watching my favourite animated movies, classics I have watched in the past and so on). I have always enjoyed checking out a wide range of movies and Blu rays has given me the opportunity to see them as they were intended.

If there is a regret, it would be that some of the stuff I badly want might never end up on Blu, but other than that I am grateful for Blu and the wonderful times I have had and continue to do so (Just received my Bad Boys set, going to watch them tonight )

My major concern (see the digital section of the forum) is disc becoming obsolete and where digital is going to lead us. It's a huge concern of mine and even the thought of it makes me feel sick.

If everything ends up on mobile, I couldn't bear it.

On the plus side, I think we still have several years to enjoy our blurays first.

It's great that you've found something that makes you happy, everyone needs something like this so it's great you've found something by your own means that gives you support. But, please, don't rely on something like this if you're truly feeling hopeless, seek help if you feel genuine depressed with something. At the end of the day I think we'd all wouldn't want something to happen to someone on the forum, and as much as we all love movies, I don't truly believe it's the solution to serious personal problems.
