Default Jerry Lewis at the Oscars

It was great to see Jerry Lewis receive an award at the Oscars. He is one of my all time favorite stars. Throughout the 50's and 60's Jerry was a legend of comedy.... and of course we all know of his unselfish dedication to MDA.. or.. as we have come to know.... "Jerry's kids"

Loved the original Nutty Professor, the remake wasn't even close.

Darn. Sorry I missed it. If I knew he was there I would have watched. Was it a lifetime award or something?

He sure looked a lot better then he did a few years ago when he was all bloated from the medication he was taking. Easily 1/2 the size he was.

Blu-Ron,

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awarded Jerry Lewis the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award........ and I might add..... well deserved. Jerry has helped raise more than 2 Billion dollars for MDA.

Moefiz,

Oh yes. The original nutty professor with Jerry Lewis is classic.

I thought the exact same thing. It was nice to see an old person looking healthier as he aged.

One of the two very meaningful moments in the last Oscars ceremony (along with Ledger's family receiving his Oscar). Lewis is an extraordinary human being. Recognition long overdue.

Lewis rocks!!!
He was bloody fantastic in THe KIng Of Comedy.
I had one friend refuse to believe the wacky professor on the Simpsons is based on Lewis. Silly bugger! (my friend, not Jerry)

I haven't watched the Simpsons in 10 years but didn't they eventually get Jerry Lewis to play the professors dad?

They remade the Nutty Professor?

{please don't explain it to me, you'll bring back long hidden dark memories that I had to go through hypnosis and therapy to block}

Couldn't agree more. It was a very heartfelt and emotional speech from him. He deserved this for all the good work he has done.
