Question terminator rating

okay so just read an interview about the new terminator movie and well so far there is no rating on the movie yet and the director has said that while making this movie he didnt really think about the rating.he just wanted to please some guy from warner i cant remember his name but the guy has been involved with the dark knight and the matrix.and that guy said to the director just make the best movie you can.so my question is do you think the rating of this movie will affect whether or not you will see this movie and or will it affect the performance at the box office?

I think the movie should be rated R just because it is a Terminator movie and this is the point in the series were there is nothing but violence. It is war, so there should be lots of blood and lots of cussing. If it is pg-13 i'm still going to watch it. I think the movie will make a lot of money regardless of the rating.

No, I will see it regardless.

Yes, it will effect the box office returns.

Will probably get a pg13 for theatrical and then the dvd/blu-ray release will also have the regular R rated/unrated cut.

I hope it's that way - but there was massive confusion over Live Free Or Die Hard, where the DVD got the R cut, and the Blu got the PG. I still can't figure that one out.

Hopefully its R it wouldnt feel like a terminator movie if not...like Live Free or Die Hard, that movie was so dulled down since it was PG-13...he didnt even say "Yippy, K-A mother******" and to me thats the most important line in all the Die Hards

Yeah I still can't figure out why the blu-ray of LFODH got shafted and they still haven't released the uncut version yet.

actually he did say yippie k-a muthat###### at the end when he put the gun into his shoulder wound and shot himself and in the process shot gabriel but i know what you mean it just didnt seem right for a die hard movie.so i a def hoping for an r rating but even if it is pg-13 it will not stop me from seeing the movie.right now i am just hoping it is better than the godawfiul rise of the machines

In making something idiot proof, someone eventually builds a better idiot.

Sure the 17 minus crowd won't be there, but you'd still have to put up with the 18+ college crowd texting and such during the movie.

That's why I usually wait until the last or second-last Wednesday to watch a movie, less crowds of stupid to worry about.

I'm assuming T4 will have a PG13 rating to humble the violence for theaters. When its released on dvd or blu-ray, then it may switch to R/Unrated.

This movie has no choice but to show a lot of killing because of its title, so stayed tuned.

if the R cut is the best version of the film, then give it an R
if the PG-13 cut is better because the R is simply rated R so that it is R with tacked on nudity, gore, extra cursing, etc. then use the pg-13

i hate when they tack on extra stuff JUST to get it to be rated R
if the tone/content of the film in its best cut warrants an R, then im ok with that
but i dont want crap tacked on just so that the "i only want to watch it if its rated R !!!" crowd will be happy

Christian Bale just on the set alone is worthy of an 'R' rating.
