Default PS3 HDMI Subwoofer

I use to use my PS3 for audio using the optical but with so many HD audio on blu ray i needed to goto HDMI, with doing this my receiver (Sony Strda 5300es) has an option for HDMI SW. i can either set my HDMI SW to 0 or +10. having it set at 0 their is almost no bass but when having it set to +10 it feels as if their is too much bass. what i did to fight this was to set my power on my sub amp down (Paradigm PW2200) and turn the HDMI SW +10. It sounds great but the only problem is their is little bass when using different inputs such as watching TV or playing X box 360. the other problem i am having is that my xbox is using HDMI as well and the HDMI SW +10 does not work for it so that bass is still low. when i used the optical cable the bass was at a good level all around for every input. i know i could just lower my Subwoofer in the receiver for when i use the PS3 and than put it back to even when i do something else but i wanted to know if their was something i could do that would even out everything without having to change the settings everytime i use it.
Thanks!
