Default How to play live stream from website on Sony Blu Ray Player?

My player has DLNA, but I can only play media that has been encoded (.mp3, .mp4) I want to be able to play video from Youtube and from sites that stream video.

How do I do this?

What model is the player? It should have apps for sites like YouTube, etc.

The fact that the OP even needed to ask the question speaks volumes about the Sony product

It's best to connect a computer with an HDMI card, if possible. Can't surf with any player or smart TV anway.

You know of any player with a mouse and a keyboard?

Um, that's not correct. I'm no big fan of Samsung but both my Samsung Smart TV and Samsung BD Home Theater system have the ability to surf the web and both have an app for YouTube. But I actually use the YouTube app on my Apple TV.

Nope and I'm not even sure why you would want to do that but I have used my MacBook/Apple TV to project my computer screen onto my TV a few times. I've also done the same with my iPhone. Even the YouTube app on my iPhone allows me to send the video to my TV.

That seems like a really old system, discontinued back in 2010, so I imagine it wouldn't have all of the standard "Smart" features available today.

It can access Youtube but I want to be able to play a live stream on it through DLNA. I think VLC can do it but its too complex for me to set it up. Is there any program that can send a live stream to a Blu Ray player.

Ok, basically what you're looking for is a media server software that you can run on an external device such as a computer or a smart phone. Your player, the Sony BDV E370 or even your TV if it has DLNA support, would essentially be just receiving the video stream. I would suggest Serviio. I have never used it personally but others have mentioned it.
