My Apology To Wii Fans

Alright so my little bit of fun kind of turned into a big serious thread.

Im sorry for offending any one. I done a thread about this before having a poke at the Wii and never had this.

But i was a baw bag and i thought i just owe up to it.

I think that's big of you to offer the apology. My only thing with that thread is how it was called a pointless system. It's cool to not like a system for whatever reasons you might have, but calling it pointless is kind if offensive; it's basically saying that those who are interested in Wii are somehow less sophisticated than those who don't or something. Many people like the Wii, and plenty don't, too. We all have our reasons one way or the other. I think it's a great system, but I also understand that others don't share that same sentiment. I personally like pretty much all systems (but I currently only own a Wii out of the current generation).

I wonder. Is it the number one system now because there are actually/finally units available to sell and folks want to see what all of the fuss is about, or do people truly love the system and games? Will sales remain strong, or will they drop once the novelty wears-off? It's definitely a niche gaming system that's not for everyone.

My son (10 yo at the time) saved-up Christmas and B-day money and bought a Wii ~Aug '07 (we got lucky at a TRU one Sunday morning). He played it for about 3 months, and then completely lost interest in it. I never cared for any of the games, and hated to the controllers. Luckily for him, it was still in short supply at the time, and he sold it for $50 more than he paid for it.
