Default Infinity P362 vs Polk Monitor 50 / Tsi300

How does the Infinity stack up against these two Polks? Are both Polks better or only the TSi? Which would you buy? The Infinity costs the most but I have read they are a little over priced and is why they go on sale often.

Infinity P362

Polk Monitor 50

Polk Tsi300

thanks

The TSi is just a better looking cabinet thatn the Monitors. They are essentially the same speaker

I can't comment on how they compare, but I have the previous generation of Infinity Primus speakers (P250's). I just bought the PC350 Infinity Primus center channel and am planning on getting the P362's for fronts and moving my P250's to the rear. If you have a Fry's near you, they put the P362's on sale all the time. I think they are $129ea right now. Last month they were $119ea. I have heard they go down to $99ea, so I am waiting on that.

Like I said, I don't know how they compare to the polks, but the Infinity's Low-Frequency Driver's are 1" larger and they have a 4" Midrange Driver.

Yeah, I actually bought the Infinity this weekend. I do like them but while I am still in the return period I am thinking about getting one of the Polks instead. I want to have these speakers for awhile so I want to be sure I get the better pair. I also have the Polk CS10 center if that makes a difference.

Since you have a Polk center, you might want to get either of the Polk fronts you mentioned.

Do you not like the P362's? I think they sound awesome when I demo'd them.

Yeah I think they sound great for what I paid.

If I keep the Infinity mains I will probably swap the CS10 to the PC350 Infinity center (might be too wide though) to keep everything in the front the same. I will probably keep the Infinity I just want to be sure it is not a no brainer to go Polk.

I personally don't think Polk is a no-brainer. If you keep the Infinity mains I will probably swap the CS10 to the PC350 Infinity center to keep everything in the front the same. I will probably keep the Infinity I just want to be sure it is not a no brainer to go Polk.
If I were you, I would either get the PC350 to match the P362's or move up one tier to the Monitor 60's or TSI 400. It seems to me like the P362's beat the 2 Polks you previously mentioned, but would loose to Monitor 60's and similar spec'd models.

Where did you get your P362's from and how much?

I haven't received my PC350 yet, but it is a beast with Dual 5-1/4" Low-Frequency Drivers and Dual 3" Midrange Drivers. I got a Factory Remanufactured one with a factory warranty from the Harmon (Infinity) Direct ebay store for much cheaper than I have seen any new ones online.

The PC350 is very wide. Eventually, I will have to get a new stand for it, but I think that is worth it for this speaker.

Looks like the Infinity has a bit better specs, unless I am wrong, in that it has a higher db sensitivity than the 2 Polks and goes a bit lower in Hz than them also. On the other hand, I like the cabinet design of the Polks better and they can be bi-amped/bi-wired, while the Infinity cannot.

Like I said I will be getting the P362's from Fry's during one of their sales to match my new center.

What kind of center channel do you have?
