Any thoughts on this?

This shit really needs to stop. How many other ways is Star Wars going to get butchered?

As a HUGE fan of John Williams, I'm considering going to London to see this if/when I see Madonna.

I really don't know what to think of this. It's either going to be really bad, or really entertaining.

Sounds really good to me. John Williams is masterful! If it comes to a city near me I'm there!

I don't think this is inherently bad or a bastardizing of the Star Wars franchise at all. I do think that it has the potential to be really cheesy, playing off of what all us Star Wars nerds love and exlloiting it. By the sounds of the aricle, though, they're conscious of that and are apparently looking to avoid the obvious schtick that they could easily drum-up; e.g. "R2-D2 scooting across the stage."

I really hope they do this right. I'll definitely be reading reviews of this during the tour, and if it's rated as good and comes to a theater near me, I'll check it out. I'd spend $50 on a show...but if I had to choose between spending $50 on the show or $150 for the sextology in blu, I'd take the sextology all day long.

How is that so different then what Howard Shore did with his music for LOTR? I think it would be nice and this is not a new thing, Williams did something similar in the 80's with the Boston Pop, playing many of his movie scores. I will go see this if it come's my way.

Default Nooooooooooooo!

I'll be honest. When I first heard about this all I could think of was the Holiday Special back in the 70's(yes I saw it), and I thought:

No-Darth_Vader.jpg

But after reading this, it sounds like it may be pretty good. Intrested to see what props they set up for the show.
