Lame. They are taking the Wii, PSP, and Gamecube versions of Madden 08 but not the PS3 version.

Well I don't know what you expect them to give you considering the whole point of a trade-in system is for them to try and make a profit.

so what does amazon end up doing with the trade in's? do they sell them on the marketplace through an official store or something (i'm guessing so?)?

The OP forgot to mention that they're running a promo giving you 10% off your next video game purchase from them if you trade in.

As for the new service, well competition is always good. And the prices are actually a little bit higher than gamestop.

Most of the people who trade in games are kids who don't have bank accounts to link to paypal, and therefore can't sell on ebay or amazon marketplace.
