Oh man, I have absolutely no idea whatsoever.

Now I'm going to have to think about it.

Did a search and didn't see a thread made in here, which is surprising.

I'm not 100% sure (which is funny because I can still remember the very first DVD I bought way back in 1998) but I believe it was National Treasure and National Treasure 2 in 2012.

The poblem is that I wasn't a collector when I bought my first Blu-ray.

I have collected diecast cars for basically my entire life, and I've got cars going back 17+ years that I could tell you the exact store and town where I found them.

Upon further review, I'm guessing that it was Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

I redeemed the digital code for this movie in April of 2010, despite not even owning a Blu-ray player (PS3) until May of 2010.

For my birthday around late 2007. Three titles- Pirates of the Caribbean, Superman Returns, and 300, along with a Sony bdp s301 from BJ’s Wholesale if I remember correctly.

I’m starting to think it may have been the first two pirates films, as they were the talk of the town at the time, plus Superman Returns and I came back for 300 within days. Anyways, if not exactly that way, close to it.

I remember I was resistant to getting blue-rays as I didn't want to re-buy my DVD collection. So, the first one I did buy was Arrival with Charlie Sheen because it was the first time it was enhanced in widescreen, and then I bought Grumpy Old Men and Spies Like Us for the same reason, thinking I would only get the movies that were finally properly in widescreen... Speaking of Spies Like Us... boy does that need a better release.

Can't remember exactly when but it would have been around the time I got a PS3 in 2010/2011.

Same!

I just went through my purchase history though Amazon and it says Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut was my first blu-ray purchase through them. Which reminded me that I got Superman: The Movie and Superman Returns at Circuit City. Mission Impossible III could have been before those. I'm not entirely sure.

Though, the first blu-ray that I owned was Talladega Nights, since it came with my Playstation 3 haha.

Technically my first one was Cars in like 2007, but that was before I had a Blu-ray player (I bought it for the “Blu-ray blue Lightning McQueen die cast car” promotion).

The first one I bought when I actually got an HDTV and a Blu-ray player was The Simpsons Movie. And then Transformers a couple days later.
