One Pair black RTi10's (purchased 12/07)
One CSi5 Center Channel black (purchased 12/07) One Pair black FXi3 (purchased 8/07) AND one pair black RTi4 (purchased 6/08) I found this for sale in my area for 975. I have a Sony STR-DG920. So all I would need is a sub and I could run with 7.1 which is what I want. |

Seems a bit high for used speakers IMO ![]() I'd just be careful because you don't know how the prior owner treated them Last edited by langn08; 03-08-2009 at 05:10 PM. |

![]() Seriously though, if they're in good shape and you like the sound of them, the price sounds right. Dunno anything about the FXi at all though. Make sure you inspect 'em carefully and listen to them. |

I think that is a good deal, the equivalent RTi A7s are about $1100 a pair MSRP, so to include all the 7.0 speakers in that mix, I think its a good deal. I just sold my Sony speakers for the same price I bought them for in Dec 07

I wouldn't worry about buying used speakers it's very hard to fry a speaker, if there is anything wrong with them you will notice as soon as you listen to them, just check to make sure none of the speakers have been replaced with cheaper parts.

as mentioned,
check what your purchasing, make sure that they didnt replace any of the parts, including its innards. some mightve removed or replaced them with cheaper parts or sadly just remove them. if they were a DIYer they'd be proud enough to say that they modded it with better crossovers et al. remove the grills and inspect the speakers themselves, see for any evident modding or damage. (sad to see someone trying to sell speakers with a tweeter pushed in by their 5 year old) you also want to be able to audition the said speakers, bring your own demo material. something you are very familiar with, and see if they are what you are looking for. safety first. bring a buddy and hold hands when you go there. ![]() |
