Blu-ray Player With a Built In Stereo Headphone Jack - Blu-ray Forum

I would like to see some company come out with a profile 2.0 BLU-RAY player that includes a 2.0 Stereo headphone jack built in. Such a player would be ideal for a bedroom or other room in the house for late night watching of BLU-RAY movies. Surround Sound recievers have headphone jacks. This would be ideal for a room that does not have a surround sound receiver. The BLU-RAY player could convert the 7.1 and 5.1 surround track to 2.0 stereo for use with headphones.

There are already Stereo Out jacks on every player I've seen - along with a set of wireless headphones, you're already set. No need for a headphone jack, really.

Some DVD players have a low cost front stereo headphone jack with volume control. It would be a easy low cost feature to add to a future BLU-RAY player.

+1...and don't most displays have audio out that is compatible with headphones?

That would solve that (actually I think it's already solved)
