I swear that the writers for that show must have come to the ace hardware I worked at after high school. paint mixer rodeo, the secret hiding places we did all the crazy stuff they do on that show. we'll see if they start duct taping new employees to support post in the store while still helping customers. if they do. i'll sue.

my wife and I love this show and it would be great on blu.

Kevin Smith only directed the first episode, beyond that, he doesn't have a lot of input. Although, he cast Sock in his newest movie.

The show is owned by Disney, who licensed it along with several other properties to Lionsgate

No Blu-ray plans on Reaper at all unfortunately

I would love to see a BD release of thise, I watched it in HD back when it was broadcast and I was sad to see only a DVD version coming out. Maybe it's too expensive to make and they don't expect it'll sell enough to justify its production in Blu.

I would guess that they don't expect to sell enough copies to justify it on Blu-ray, especially considering season 2 is only half a season. I was surprised this show came back at all. Ratings for season 1 weren't good, and they aren't doing much publicity for season 2, so the ratings likely will only get worse.

Who knows?
They might release a pack containing seasons 1 & 2.
They've done that for other shows with a low seasonal episode number (Sliders, Weeds, etc.).

Hmmm... that's a week after the scheduled season finale according to the tvshowsondvd website:

http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Reaper-Season-2/11371

Not only does it stink that there is no Blu-Ray version, but I don't think them releasing the DVD set this fast is a good sign for the series in general, in my opinion.

Typically they release the season sets of current shows on DVD and/or Blu-Ray in the fall just as the new season is getting ready to start up.

But this tells me that they may not be planning on having a third season (or at least they aren't banking on it). Maybe they know this is likely going to be the end of the series, and want to release the DVD set while the show is still fresh in people's minds to get the most money that they can out of it.

Yeah, that's my concern. Several shows that premiered during the 2007-2008 season that didn't do so hot in the ratings got picked up for second seasons mainly because of the writers strike.

The strike prevented more brand new shows for this current season from being created, and the networks needed new episodes of something to show, resulting in those shows getting picked up.

If I am not mistaken, the current season of Reaper is on opposite American Idol, which to me means they are basically just running out the episodes and are trying to kill it.

I hope that I am wrong, but I doubt it.

I at least hope that the show gets a decent ending.

I really love this show and Andie is Smoke'n hot! I really wish that all shows that are, shot in HD or that are shown in HD (and look good) should be sold that way. How are you going to get people to buy Blu-Ray when they don't sell it? I can't imagine watching the show in HD and then being forced to buy it in SD, WTF!?!

Andie would still be Smoke'n hot in SD!
