Default Plug Subwoofer's Power to back of RX-V663??

Hi All,

Will plugging my Sony SA-W2500 Subwoofer's power into the back of the Yamaha RX-V663 cause any problems? (heat, overload, etc.)

As always, thanks for your reply.

Yeah- don't do it.

It's going to draw too much power. That's approximately a 200w sub with heavy and quick power draws. Too hard on your receiver.

not sure..... I would plug it into a power-conditioner though..... I also think it'd cause unnecessary "strain" on the power supply... but again... I don't know.

If your sub is auto on-off you will get a spike in your receiver and could hurt your speakers or the receiver, i would never plug anything in the back of your AVR.

I have a Polk PSW10, and it tells you in the manual, NOT, to plug it into the back of receiver.
