I was kinda saddened by this...Test was a wrestler i use to like watch.

I used to watch wrestling religiously but lost interest in thier storyline and character. Test was from the attitude days. His best wrestling years. Sad though.

Yeah i get in and out of it...i did watch tna for a small bit couldnt get into it really.....I will be ordering wrestlemania tho....I want to see HBK vs. Undertaker & theres a couple other good matches.

I dunno i just felt like letting everyone thats a fan know because i was shocked by the news when i turned my computer on.

damn. Wondered what happened to him. I thought he left well before 2007. He must have been on Smackdown since I never watch it. For some reason when I saw this I was think Edge.

It's probably safe to say steroids and other drugs contributed to his death. 33 years old is way too young to die. Unfortunately, he's just another of many wrestlers who died prematurely.

During the attitude era he was definitely a big star. Triple H once said in an interview he saw big things in the future for Test and wanted to work with him, that's a big compliment.

People who don't like unions, this is a huge reason why they're required

If WWF had a union, the horrendous working conditions with no job protection, no time off, no off season, no employee benefits no nothing.

They're "independant contractors", though in every applicable sense of the word they're employees, except when it comes to paying social security tax, retirement, health insurance (ludicrously high for their line of work), travel expenses.

And for being on the road 5 days a week, getting their bodies beat to crap, the average take home except for maybe the top 10 guys is $40-60,000 after expenses (on paper they're paide $250-300k). Without an off season, these guys have no time to heal, and so they turn to pain meds. That's why wrestlers die early so often. They take steroids to keep the size they are without proper time to work out and to get bigger to be more impressive on TV because Vince McMahon likes monsters, and doesn't see a lot of value in the small agile guys.

There's already been one attempt at a lawsuit against them that got dismissed over it. Hopefully the next one will be more successful. Watch "The Wrestler", because that's exactly what happens to virtually every person who reaches the top of the game.

You talking about the one back in the early 90's about the steriods. When Hogan testified and Vince turned on him? I remember that. He left for WCW and when that got bought out by Vince Hogan had no choice but to ask for a job. He still has to make money by appearing in a WWE ring here and there. Same with Ric Flair and the other old timers you see getting in the ring. Those old guys hardly got any money.

You're missing one indisputable fact.

They have the option of quitting once their contract runs out if they don't like the conditions.

Lesnar did that from what I can recall and that has benefited him greatly.

He got lucky. He's actually doing well in Mixed Martial Arts. When Vader tried it he got his butt kicked. The Rock got lucky also and is staying in movies. Hogan did that to but he wasn't getting as much. Some get lucky and can move on while others struggle and make appearances on tor ppv

I think steroids have been a big part of wrestling for so long now that a lot of the blame just has to stick with the wrestlers. At this point, they knew what they were getting into. If you are a puny little guy, you probably knew going into it that you'd have no chance unless you used steroids and bulked up. A lot of wrestlers now have backgrounds in bodybuilding, so I imagine a lot of them were exposed to drugs before they became wrestlers.

OMG I remember Scott Stiener. A skinny pole bean boy that got hurt with a neck injury and was out for a year. He comes back as Big Papa Pump. Then fans start holding up signs and chanting Steriods.
