Default Questions about BD-P1000 picture quality

I'm having some issues with the picture quality I'm getting on my Blu-Ray movies. I have a Samsung BD-P1000 Blu-Ray playing on a 61" Samsung DLP HDTV connected via a HDMI cable. If it's a bright scene, my picture quality is superb, super sharp and amazing color. But whenever the scenes are darker, the picture is very grainy and not sharp at all. Anybody experiencing this, or know of a fix for it?

Thank you, but turning off the DNIe was one of the first things I did when I bought this TV. Always made the picture look worse, which made me wonder why they included it as a feature in the first place...

Since buying my 1000 in March, Ive seen movies that look great and some that arent as impressive. Id say(unless your tv is not properly calibrated) it could be source material.
