I am wondering if there will be a bluray release of THE DARK KNIGHT with the IMAX scenes separate from the theatrical.
I know many disagree, but I find it distracting to see the screen change every once in a while. It's blu ray!!! I don't see why we are not given the choice of which version to watch! |

All I wish was that the blu ray release of THE DARK KNIGHT have 2 separate versions on the disk, the IMAX version & the Theatrical version. This way it pleases those who saw it in IMAX and those like me who saw it in regular theaters and dont want to be destracted with the aspect ratio changes. I thought that BLU RAY was capable of having different versions on one disk. Yes IMAX is great, but unless anyone in this forum has a giant IMAX screen in there living rooms, it can never be as the filmmaker had intended.
To Reiterate; I'm NOT saying there should have been a widescreen only version on BLU RAY. I'm just saying tht there should have been a release that had both. |

You can't please everybody.
On a serious note, it is ridiculous that people would take the time to complain about something like shifting aspect ratios. People are funny sometimes. OAR is the only way to watch a movie. If not, then there's no point in watching it. |

IMO if a studio can re-master a film like "Apollo 13" in IMAX then why can they just re-master the non-IMAX parts of TDK into IMAX to match the rest?
unless the Dir. just does not want too. ![]() anyway I just focus on the main part of the film and I then do not see the change anymore. and the bigger your HDTV is the better I would guess. |
