I had figured that out to be honest.

For months when I joined my first forum (a BMW 7 Series one) I thought a load of users coincidentally had the name Lawrence.

Only then did I discover that they weren't all nicknamed 'Lol' and it actually meant Laugh Out Loud! LOL
