Wheelman - Blu-ray Forum

While I'm not the biggest fan of Vin Diesel, this has piqued my interest. I love The Transporter, and the trailer reminded me very much of the car chase in that movie, and I've been waiting for a good car chase game for a LONG time. Check out the trailer, it's in the PS store.

Yeah, seen the game trailer on YouTube.

It looks like a good game, although similar in style to the Driver games on PS1 & PS2. Does anyone know when this is due out?

Midway will handle the publishing duties in all other European countries and will continue to oversee the game's development, which is taking place at their in-house studio in Newcastle. The press release announcing this "strategic relationship" also mentions that a demo will be released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Wheelman prior to the game hitting stores. It's set to be released for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on March 24th in North America and on March 27th in Europe.

Why hand over publishing of a nearly complete game to Ubisoft? Said Matt Booty, Midway's head honcho: "Ubisoft has a proven expertise at bringing new IP to market, which will allow us to reach a broader consumer segment with Wheelman, while helping Midway to balance the risk profile of our product portfolio.” In other words, they want to cushion the (potential) blow of a flop. A flop involving Vin Diesel? Inconceivable, yes, but it doesn't hurt to be on the safe side when you're already bankrupt.

what do you guys think of this game??

gotta say i kinda dug the demo of this . i only did the first part where you escape and i unlocked osme other missions but i didnt try them yet .. i liked the driving aspect and how you use the analog stick to knock other cars out and stuff . reminded me a lot of hte very first driver game for some reason .. but are there on foot missions ?? if so i may look into this one for a purchase ...

I have to say the driver aspects I liked alot..
And the up and down on the dpad which do
very cool things..

The on foot feels somewhat wrong but the driving
aspects are top notch.

yeah, I was shocked at how much I actually enjoyed this demo....

the gameplay mechanics were very good and it breaks you in on how to use them very nicely...

I still enjoyed the red baron demo more for some reason, but this demo was loads of fun...

I thought it was just as bad as the riddick demo. That Tigeron or whatever company does not make good looking games IMO. But if you liked it then have fun and enjoy just not my style of game.

Well i disliked the riddick demo too found it very boring .Wheelman is way more fun.Im surprised you dont think the wheelman visuals are good i think it looks amazing especially as it pans across the harbour.

this game got reviwed as a 4.5. I was really looking foward to this game based on the demo. I usually dont pay attention to reviwews but a 4.5 is pretty bad. I was gonna pick it up after work? Anyone play yet?

Yeah i got it today its great theres missions where you have to chase vechicles down and keep bumping into them to take them down so anyone who liked chase HQ will love this

also theres lots of taxi missions where you have to get them there on time so youve got crazy taxi in there too and the bits where you can shoot in slow motion infront or behind you while in the car is great fun.Also really good story based around criminal underworld and barcelona looks amazing.Theres also bits where youre on foot and can take cover and shoot so youve got uncharted in there too.Also bits where youve got to evade the cops list goes on
