Default TV help wanted!

Right now I just have a Westinghouse 32" 720p TV. I want to upgrade, I think I am looking for like 36" to 42", but don't want to spend a ton of money but don't want a crappy tv. Any suggestions?

So is $800 your budget? dont get a vizio the pic isnt that good on them plus they are poorly made. I know of a few people that got them and had problems. With the new models coming out you can get last years for a steal. just search and you can find a 1080p 40" or higher for around $800 to $1000

You are going to get mixed answers, it will be about a 50/50 split, cant go wrong with either, I like the Sony more.

For LCDs, I'm more of a Samsung fanboy than Sony - but its up to you to go to the store and check it out for yourself.

Let me hit you with somethin' playa, if you up the budget a hundred dollars you can get this!!!! Now I know it's 720p but, as many people will agree with me, a 720p plasma will look better than a 1080p LCD.
