The PlayStation Network will be taken offline for maintenance on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 5:00 PM PT - 6:00 PM PT. We hope to have these services up as soon as possible.

i stopped going to the ps forum. since i have to sign in everytime. and yet. im still signed in to the blog site.

Was this scheduled a few days ago? Because I have to admit it scared the hell into me when I got that all-too-familiar "error" message. Would've been nice for Joystiq or IGN to give a heads-up. I certainly don't care about the lost hour, but would've liked to know that things weren't FUBAR again.

You have to sign in just to read the posts there? That's odd. I haven't ever seen that happen from my end.
