A review of the sound quality of these speakers (sorry, I had to use the Wayback Machine to get a valid link):

Nope, actually I upgraded to 1" wide ratcheting straps and use an old boater's trailering trick and put a single twist in the strap to prevent them from flapping - don't want those standing waves added to your speakers output!

Not to sound too callous, but in this day and age if you are buying speakers from two dudes out of the back of a truck/van, do you really expect not to be scammed?

People get scammed all the time, in all kinds of different ways. There are patsys everywhere.
It's sad and it drives people like you and I nuts that people wouldn't know better, but it's true!

lol...

I have to admit, I got suckered into buying a set of speakers like this when I was 16. They were called Samaurai, 2 huge felt covered speakers, had a 12" woofer in the bottom, a 8" mid and a tweeter at the top... The guy selling them wanted $200 each at first, I told him I was in school and didnt have that kind of money. I told him I had $100 on me and that was it, and then they were mine. Now these actually sounded pretty good, and were extremely loud. Had them hooked up for just listening to music. I kept them for about 3 years, never had a problem, then turned around and sold them for $75 to Cash Converters.
