Default Is there a way to write a search URL that bypasses the results page?

I'm trying to write an HTML window in DVD Profiler that does a Blu-ray.com search. Is there a way to write a search URL (passing the movie title and possibly supplemental information such as the release date) so that it bypasses the results page and go directly to the movie page?

Well, bandwidth-leeching issues aside...

Unless you can guarantee that you'll only get one result, and the right result, I'm not sure why you would want to trust the search results.

Sounds like you're looking for the equivalent of the "I'm feeling Lucky!" search on Google?

In theory, it's a scripting change that the developers could make to this site, too, but it would take up real estate on every page to offer the option between the two. Not sure if they have a flag embedded in their search script or not to allow it to jump straight to the first result, and I have a feeling that even if they did, they wouldn't make it publicly available.

I'm not familiar with DVD Profiler, but my initial reaction would be to use a scripting language instead of straight HTML, and use the scripting language to pull the first search result link and display it instead of the search page. You could use a generic loading splash screen until the search returns and the script parses and displays the result.
