I wish the pre-reshoot version got a release because the theatrical cut is nearly incomprehensible and totally has contempt for the previous two films.

I was really disappointed with this movie, definitely the worst I've seen so far in 2017. And I even liked The Ring Two.

First two films were distributed by DreamWorks and I think Fox bought them out. At least their animation properties.

I *MIGHT* be interested if there's a significantly different alternate cut or a boatload of deleted scenes... it was very obvious how much the movie was messed with prior to release and I'm kind of curious what it was like in its original form. The movie itself is not good enough for me to consider a purchase based on its own merits as-is.

Turns out the blu-ray has over 25 minutes of deleted scenes so you might get your wish.
