Potc 1 & 2 on Samsung

I just bought POTC 1 & 2 but they will not play in Samsung blu ray player.
It is model BD-P1000. Am I missing something? Other movies play just fine with the exception of Descent. HELP!!!!

Have you got the latest firmware from samsung? which country are you in? In Australia Samsung hasn't released a firmware update yet, so I had to load the update from the UK website which adds enough Java support to play this and the fox titles that came out.

Yo Brother. I have the exact same Blu-ray Player the 1st Samsung. Mine didn't work either so i went and uploaded the new Firmware update off of the Samsung Blu-Ray Website. http://www.samsung.com/support/produ...e=FM&language=

Go there and download it, unzip it, then burn it to a cd using the Image Burn.

By the way the Descent worked on mine before the firmware.

Yes, go look in the BLU RAY PLAYERS section and you will see the threads regarding your issue and how to fix it.

ahhh OMG, this movie is too clear. like litterly. way too HD, you can clearly see in action parts that johnny depp is not jack sparrow, but a stunt double is. the big one is when they are on top of the house in dead man's chest and sparrow taunts norrington then somersaults off the house.

Hey Neftoon, did you get advised to do the UK update from Samsung or did they give you the run-around saying that the firmware update will be "available soon"

I got the run around, so in the end I figured what the hell, and loaded the UK firmware, haven't had a problem with any discs since, chicago had problems before I updated on chapter 3 the soound would play but the video would freeze and it would pause at various points in the film, since then no problems.

No problems just remember when you unlock the dvd region side of it, you have to use region 2's code instead of the region 4 code.

Just To Say That The Us Versions Of POTC Are Region Free As It Is Regions A.B.C On The Back Cover
