Question wall mounts for polk monitor 30s???

can anyone recommend some good wall mounts/brackets at a good price, around $50-$60 MAX

my 30s just arrived today but they are sitting on the end tables around ear height.
i want to put them on the wall behind me and higher.

im kinda confused whats good wall mounts and what are the cheap plastic ones.

if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be MUCH APPRECIATED.
id hate to put up some cheapy wall mounts only to have it fall on my kids head or my pregnant wife head

ps sell me your used blus!!!

Monoprice is just about as good as it gets when it comes to prices on cables, brackets, etc...

Not sure how heavy the Monitor 30's are... but these brackets are pretty heavy duty!

EDIT: I looked up the weight on the Monitor 30's... at 9lbs, you MAY be able to get by with these, but just barely... not sure.

the 1st ones are rather ugly....lol

and the second ones hold a MAX of 10 pounds. the 30s weigh 9 each
that seems to be pushing the limit too close for comfort.

anyone have any other suggestions?

Have you thought of getting small shelves instead, or is this not possible?

I used the brackets it came with and used wall anchors to support them. It holds up to 150 lbs. I dont move them or touch them, but they are also about 6 feet off the ground, away from kids and most people. You can look at the photos in my gallery because I have the 30s too. the 40's were too big for surrounds for me.

here is my problem with this

look at the tv from the couch the right surround speaker is in the open. its right where the staircase turns and the vaulted ceiling is on the staircase.
that being said there is NO SIDE WALL on the right surround side. both speakers would have to go on the back wall, behind the couch.

will i get the same sound facing the speakers foward(towards the tv) as i would by hanging the speakers from the back wall but angling them inwards to face each-other(get a speaker mount)?

the other thing is that the couch is right along the back wall so i cant even get stands for behind the couch.

my ONLY OPTION is to either
A) use the designed screw mounting optiion with the polks and the rear speakers will be forward facing
or
B) get speaker mounts for the back wall. put the speakers on the mounts and angle them inward to the seating area

any suggestions?

Gotcha. I have a 7.1 setup and the rear surrounds are behind the theater seats. I have about three feet of space. You can put them behind you but to get the best sound you want to put them on the sides if you cant put them behind you.
I have attached a link to dolby's site and their suggested setup:

Crutchfield has some variety of brackets, but they are pretty high. Go to Ebay and find it for half the price:
