Default World's deadliest spider found in the UK

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...o-bananas.html

Those things are nasty. They are 5 inches in diameter, have enough venom to kill 225 mice and give you a very very very very painful erection as you die.

This is all we need lol.Not the first time that spider has been found here and both occasions travelling with the bananas. These supermarkets need to pull their fingers out before they end up with a death claim to deal with. I fear spiders even smaller than a coin but if i came across that it wouldnt need to bit me, id probably just die of a heart attack.

My brother worked at a friut market as a teenager, and it was a common occurence for giant spiders to be found in new crats of fruit.

The spider was humanely put down by the RSPCA after being deemed 'too dangerous' for photographers to go near.

They euthanized a spider?

Yeah I knew a friend who worked in the back of a supermarket stocking fruit like the lady in the story, he said he would always find huge bright orange millipedes & centipedes, spiders, etc. Crazy!

We, as people, really need to take a stand against the spider.

About a year ago I had a friend working at a Costco in the produce department. He opened the box of bananas and there was one of these little suckers some how still alive. I don't know how but he managed to get it into a glass jar and poke some holes... he took it to the universities biology department and they told him he had one of these spiders. And this is in Canada. Freaks me out.

Yikes! I have a huge spider phobia. It's perhaps my only phobia as snakes don't even bother me as badly as spiders. I still will never understand why they need eight legs to function! That's just too many! One of the scariest feelings to me is walking through a spiderweb...very freaky.
