It was brought to our attention late last night that Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced YES MAN the big hit comedy film, to be slated for a DVD/Blu-ray release on April 21.

Not one of my Carrey favorites. I chuckled quite a bit, but I cannot see myself watching this again. I didn't think it was that funny. Would much rather rewatch Dumb & Dumber and Me, Myself & Irene. Pass for me. Hope Warner delivers TrueHD though!

Really loved this movie, I was surprised my wife loved it also. Definitly a buy for us.

This movie was a great return to good (not goofy) Jim Carrey. His performance could be compared to Liar Liar (which this movie is NOT a rip off of) or Bruce Almighty. Highly recommended!

Bolt and Crazy88, enough of the back and forth bickering, He isn't divulging his source and thats his choice. Enough with the releaselists links as well. For the reason why its not posted here first, Josh tries and post official release information as confirmed by the studios, You end up with alot of errors by posting prebook info provided to retail as dates change, etc. Thanks for your understanding on this.

I am not gonna close the thread as its an upcoming release, but I did clean it up.

Is it really good, or is it just Bruce Almighty only different? I hated Bruce Almighty and this looked like the same garbage. I'm not trying to bash a movie I haven't even see yet, I just want to know if I would like it.

Some Jim Carrey movies I actually liked:
Earth Girls Are Easy
The Cable Guy
Man on the Moon
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Everything else is too silly or trying too hard to be serious (in my opinion). So, I never wanted to give Yes Man a chance. Based on what I just wrote, should I at least rent it, or not even bother?

A rental at first and we will see where it goes from there. It is really hard to find a REAL funny movie. You know...a movie that while watching it you actually laugh?!

Well Warner is putting Yes Man on a BD-25..MY guess
is Warner will only put DD 5.1 only with no TrueHD..
does anyone else have this feeling??

I dont share the same feelings. bd-25 disc can care a HD audio. Just look at ice age 2, or doomsday from Universal. Both are bd-25 discs, both have special features, both care dts-hd ma audio.

I hate how everyone gets all upset about a movie being on bd-25. If specs for the movie/features/audio does not warrant a bd-50 then there is no need to do so. Doomsday looks amazing on a bd-25 disc. I am sure there has been plenty more bd-25 discs that look great and carry HD sound.

Here let me play the worlds smallest violin for you......

That may be the case, but WB still has not proven their devotion to HD Audio. So, with that said, Yes Man will probably feature a bland DD soundtrack.
