Default Which Blus should I purchase?

Basically based off of PQ/AQ. Thanks.

Zack and Miri Make a Porno (seen once, enjoyed)
Apocalypto (seen a few times, but never on Blu)
The Descent (own on SD)
The Punisher (own Extended Cut on SD)
The Kingdom (seen once on SD)
King Kong (own 3-Disc Extended Edition SD)
The Matrix
Crank (own on SD)
Passion of the Christ (seen once in theaters)
Good, Bad, Ugly (never seen)

and I know this is not on topic, but has anyone bought the "Indiana Jones Box Soundtrack?" Because any advice on that would be great as well.

I'm only looking to buy 3-5.

Just based on PQ/AQ?

Crank and Apocalypto definitely rate toward the top. I've heard good things about King Kong. Punisher sucks. Matrix is good . . . could maybe be a bit better, but it's good. Zack and Miri has good PQ as well. It's dialog heavy, so nothing really exciting going on in the audio department. I can't comment on the rest.

I've only watched Kingdom from your list and it was an excellent quality blu. I've heard awful things about The Punisher, pretty sure you don't want that one -- regardless of how cheap it is. I think most of the rest of them are well thought of.

(For more thorough info regarding your titles, try typing in the titles you are interested in in that little box that has Search next to it and Movies on the other side. It will lead you to user and formal review of most of your titles.)

I bought the Punisher for $10 just because I like the movie and wanted to own it, but if you already have it on dvd its not worth it unless you just want to have it or want to increase your bluray collection. The PQ is better than dvd maybe in one scene.
The Matrix looks pretty good, i was a little dissapointed it seems like it could have been better, but its a solid purchase.
i havent seen any of the rest of those movie on blu.

Based purely on PQ/AQ, i'd go with:
Apocalypto
King Kong
The Matrix

Why would anyone buy a movie based on PQ and AQ??? If the film sucks, it is still going to suck in Hi Def. Buy the movies you want to watch based on the quality of the movie and your personal preferences in film.

Apocalypto (seen a few times, but never on Blu) < DEFINITE must buy on BD (has the best PQ I've ever seen imo)
The Descent (own on SD) < half decent upgrade in PQ/AQ here
King Kong (own 3-Disc Extended Edition SD) < Huge upgrade but no extra on BD

Though ultimately I believe in what Pirate King stated above.

Maybe he/she finds all these films to be of the same quality and thus wants to currently buy the ones with the best AQ/VQ. Makes sense to me.

I can recommend the ones in Bold.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly is an excellent movie, but I haven't seen the blu yet so I can't comment.

Pirate King,

I enjoy all of the films and I'm only asking about the PQ/AQ. Thanks.

My suggestion would be to buy those you think will appeal to your taste and not only for the PQ or SQ.

Rent the titles first. You will make the best PQ and AQ judgement based on your setup.

only going to comment on the ones i've seen:
King Kong is a phenomenal transfer and a MUST OWN on blu, same with the matrix set. excellent transfers on all 3 films. i'm very picky on pic quality, decided to upgrade these titles from my SD copies and am very happy i did. The punisher is a terrible transfer on blu and i'd stick with the dvd if you already own it. havnt seen the others. hope this helps.

The Kingdon and The Matrix are both sick in Blu.

Punisher isn't a big big step above the DvD and I like my extended DvD better than the Blu anyway.

Buy Cloverfield.
