Australia What does "Digital Copy" mean?

Hey guys, sorry for sounding like i'm asking a dumb question but i've noticed that alot of the newest movies being released on blu-ray say that they also contain a "digital copy"...just curious what it is.

Thanks.

It's a copy of the movie that can be put onto your computer and transferred to a portable device, ipod, zune, or kept on the computer. It's in standard definition.

I don't have many discs with digital copy but what I discovered the other day is that once you load it to one computer, you can't seem to load the disc to a second computer or am I wrong?

You can move the movies around using a flashdrive.

Or use either an external drive or secondary hard drive to store your music and video.

Macs also have Time Machine so with an external drive or Time Capsule, data can be backed up automatically. PCs can do the same thing with the myriad of software out there.
