Question Question about the sales war...

Hey all. I know I am a noob, but I have posted on many forums before so I know not to waste time or space. I have a quick question: Does anybody here know a good, legitimate, accurate site to see the sales comparison between blu-ray and hd-dvd's? Thanks so much for your time!

Sales stats from Nielsen are about the most accurate we've seen so far. The Digital Bits is good about reporting stuff like that. Not too long ago they posted a comprehensive listing by title that Sony put out but based on Nielsen research.

Thanks a bunch! I thought that BD's were outselling HD's by a long shot... I guess the sales are closer than I thought.

Actually, Blu-ray appeared in 2006 in America (not 2007), but it's made some big moves this year, including surpassing total sales of HD-DVD and continueing to perform at a faster clip.

My understanding is that Blu-Ray was first sold in Japan in 2003.

BD-RE (caddied) recorders were sold in Japan in 2003. But, BDMV (the current movie disc format) didn't exist until it was launched in June 2006.
