I've finally been able to see Toy Story 3, since it only came out in the UK today, and I was utterly amazed at how good it was, I'm not saying I was expecting it to be bad because you can't if it's coming from Pixar, but it's not everyday you come across a trilogy or franchise where all the films are as brilliant as each other or start off great and get even better, and this is what promted me to start this thread about which movie trilogies and franchises out there are greatly consistent throughout; because even some of the most highly accalimed franchises in cinema history have one or two down points, such as the original Star Wars and Indiana Jones trilogies; with Star Wars it would be Return of the Jedi and with Indiana Jones it would be The Temple of Doom. So I was just curious to see which movie trilogies and franchises out there where you think all the films are as great as each other, and there isn't a single bad movie in it.
![]() There is one rule to this thread however, and that is this:-
I understand everyone will have a different view on what they think is great and what is not, but I just thought it'd be a good idea to really see which movie franchises are brilliant throughout, or already start out great and just get better. ![]() So, I'll naturally start off by adding in the Toy Story Trilogy. ![]() Last edited by Jezza; 07-19-2010 at 02:53 PM. |
