Yes. That's been a most wanted upgrade for years. Now if they could get around to releasing Straight Time and Personal Best too (all three came out at the same time on DVD, I think).

Funnily enough, when you type in 'Straight Time blu' on Amazon.com it auto-populates the search bar with 'Straight Time Blu-ray Criterion'. Probably means nothing.

It's a 4hr and 13 min film. It'll be one disc most likely, but there are shorter films than that that were split across two discs. I believe the Warner DVD split it across two as well.

The entire movie is just 2 hrs, 47 minutes (almost 3 hours) so it should be all on one disc. There is no reason why the film would be split onto two. Blu-rays can hold twice as much data than DVDs, so if shouldn't be a problem for it to be on one disc.

That's why I mentioned it. The film is spread across two discs on the DVD I have that Warner put out. By that point, Scarface, Heat, The Godfather, and others had the entire film on one disc. I know there was an extra on that second disc, so that might have been partly why is was put across the two discs. That and to raise the bitrate.

That's odd, I wonder why google lists it as 4hrs 13mins. I never seen the film, but I figured that had to be the reason someone would wonder whether it would be 1 disc, or 2.

The film originally premiered on TV in a version broadcast over 4 hours (running no longer than 196 minutes), including previously unseen material which had been cut from the 167-minute theatrical release. Among the restored scenes is one that makes more sense of the DiBenadetto Case (the character Ciello's first rat-job).
