Default Jar City / Myrin 2006
A grim police procedural from Iceland. Based very closely on the novel with a great performance from Ingvar Eggert Sigurdsson as Erlendur. Atmospheric photography and soundtrack both of which could be very nice on blu. The only English friendly release has been the UK one which has been opened from the theatrical ratio of 2.35:1 to 1.78:1 and looks good upscaled. An ideal choice for Criterion

Arnaldur Indridason's books are excellent, Arctic Chill is strongly recommended
