Default What exactly do I need?

So, what exactly do I need to experience great sound quality? What needs to be hooked up to the blu ray player?

I kind of have the idea, but just need to get a "check up". So, I THINK I need a Receiver to go along with speakers(Center, 2 front, 2 rear).

I'd say my spending limit is $600. Probably will get stuff from Best Buy... so refer to products they have. Thx.

You would need a receiver, fronts, a center, and surrounds. Go to Driver's HT newbie or virgin or whatever he called it thread, he's got a pretty good new to ht setup that should fall within your budget.

With your budget.... I'd probably get Fronts, and Center with the receiver..... and save for surrounds for later.

AMAZON...AMAZON. i understand that having to wait to get your stuff in the mail sucks, but you get sooo much more for the money. i bought onkyo 876 receiver for 1g. i saved $700. buy a good receiver first then upgrade your speakers as you go.
