VLC is video right? so did you just want the audio from it or what?

edit: reread your OP...didn't know vlc is audio too. maybe try finding a program to convert it to AVI then extract the audio?

Thats where the page took me. I couldn't get anything to happen. I found the same show in 24 bit instead of 16. I'm going to try downloading it. It says MD5 is the file.

Thanks for your help though.

Brettallica's turn.

So you're saying that the original file type is .flac? Do I understand this correctly?

OK, so all that's happening here is Windows is associating .flac files to open/play with VLC. It's not a "VLC file" per se; .flac format is just a lossless audio format. So let's get the terminology correct here, just for clarity's sake (not to be a jerk or condescending): we're not dealing with VLC files, we're dealing with .flac files.

So we need to find you a .flac to .mp3 converter. Do you use iTunes? If so, check this link. This will show you how to play .flac files using iTunes. From there, when you have iTunes open, I think you could export the file in a format you want (which sounds like mp3).

From sourceforge.com, they have an .flac reader/player, and I believe this player gives you the option to export to mp3 as well. Check this link and see if that helps at all.

If you have access to a Mac, there's a great program called "Switch" that I use for such things as the situation you're dealing with now. I don't think it's available for PCs at this time, though.
