Hey everyone, I've currently got a PS3 and I have been using that as my Blu-Ray player... but I think its time to get a stand alone player now that i've reached almost 100 blus and i'd like to watch them in multiple rooms. I am not looking for the BEST thing out there per say but still want a nice player and one that isnt going to have to be updated all the time...I would like to spend around $250....Any suggestions?
Thank ahead... |

If you can still snag a Sony BDP-S350, I'd go for it. It is going to be replaced with the new S360 soon, but it is a good player. I have had no problems whatsoever with this model. Some B&M-type stores are still selling them for $299.00, but you can certainly find a deal around on an S350 for $250.00.

Sony & Panasonic are kings of the SA seen, but I think Pioneer will have a great trio due out this month...I can't recomend Sammy BD players, but anyone with one these days will say there great, I've just been burnned that's all...I still don't think there up to "snuff"...

The new samsung models are great...the 1600..3600...and 4600 (which I have...replaced the ps3 this past week). I'd recommend them. Big improvement over previous generations. I'd save up for the 3600 if you can ($400 retail). It loads as fast as the ps3...does pc streaming..netflix..pandora radio....7.1 analog out...bitstream...divx...etc. Pretty much most of the things the ps3 did but without the gaming.
