I have taken is great, defiance was awesome too, I wouldn't call it an action movie though. Some great BDs that I have, Iron Man, Transformers, and Dark Knight, loads of action. Transformers probably has some of the best visuals I have seen on Bluray yet.

Correction: I have heard taken is great.

Go with Taken all the way. One of the Best new action movies that we have out there at the moment. There's a ton of AWESOME catalogue action movies but in terms of New releases Taken is numero uno.

A lot of good recently released action stuff here. Might I mention Slumdog Millionaire for a recent release. Not exactly an action flick, but has several intense scenes, and the sound mix is gorgeous and enveloping.

If a new release, action movie is what you're looking for, I'd go along with everyone else and say Taken.

That movie has not been released state-side yet, so you will have to import it, unless you live in the UK
