I saw these speakers is someone's HT gallery and thought they looked really nice. Although I'm not in the market right now for new speakers (need to wait a bit), I really like the idea of having nice looking speakers with some good sound when I finally get to purchasing. I would like to combine them with an Onkyo or equally compatible HD capable receiver eventually.
http://www.podspeakers.com/Products/Minipod.aspx I know little about speakers and quality, and I know lot's of you here are pretty educated on it all. So my question is how do these speakers compare to other well-known, highly regarded speakers such as Polk Monitor 40's etc? I know one can't base opinions on specs alone, so if anyone has experience with these then your opinion would be greatly appreciated. My thoughts would be to use a 5.1 setup with the Minipods as front and rear surrounds with the Cinepod as the center. Or maybe even the Bigpods for the front L/R and the Minipods as the rears. Like I said I'm not looking to purchase now, but I wonder if this is even worth considering down the road. Thanks in advance for your opinions. ![]() |

From what i read they are a good speaker for small to medium rooms, you will need a sub. I would say if you could find them for a good deal it would be a great addition to your home theatre but if you are looking at full price i would shop around and listen to some other brands.
here are a couple of articles i grabbed for you http://gear.ign.com/articles/307/307123p1.html http://reviews.cnet.com/speakers-spe...-20605365.html http://www.audioreview.com/mfr/bluer...4_1594crx.aspx |

Thanks twitch!
I tried to look for some reviews but didn't come up with much. You seemed to find a few with no problems though ![]() I'm definitely going to consider these, but only if I find a good deal. I suppose if I start looking now I might actually find some. Thanks again. |
