Onkyo 606 or Yamaha HTR6250?

I recently bought a Onkyo 307(5.1) but when I saw fry's had a sale for the Polk R50's for about70 each, I had to get them. Now, should I get the Onkyo 606, or the Yamaha HTR6250. I didn't wanna spend so much, maybe $400 at the most. Amazon has The 606 for$396.99 and I have prime. But they also have The yamaha HTR6250 for $362.23. The speakers I have are the 2 Polk R50's, and the polk 5.1 6750 set.

The 6250 is the HTR version of the 665 IIRC. It is a recently released receiver. The 606 is being replaced with the 607. If you get a good copy of the 606 it is a solid receiver. If you don't, you may have issues with over heating and humming.

They are both good enough receivers. I like Onkyo but am down on the 606 issues. But I love Yamaha so I can biasedly say get the Yammy.

Otherwise their features are similar so if you are on a budget then buy what is cheaper.

I love my 606. No problems and it does what I need it to do.
