Default Guns and surround sound!

I plan on having my surround sound set up sometime in may. i was reading a couple of reviews and it seems like almost every movie with good gun fights sound awesome in surround sound. punisher warzone, black hawk down, body of lies, quantum of solace etc...are gun fights the ultimate surround sound experience???

I still think "Quarantine" was one of the best ambient surround sound movies I've seen. They used the surround really well with the helicopters buzzing overhead, pots and pans and sundry falling down around you in the darkness, and... the skittering and breathing of the things just out of sight.

It really added to the movie.

Ratatouille has a few good gunshots. Granny Goes Wild.

The Orphanage has excellent surround effect. Ghosts upstairs?

What about 3:10 to Yuma? And it is 7.1!

By the way, why I am the first non Blu-Ray Guru or King to reply by post #8? I found that strange....

Default My personal favorite

HELLBOY II -- and yes, 3:10 To Yuma. I've only seen it with my regular dvd a few mons. back, and it blew me away. I have the Bluray now, just hadn't got around to it - but i've heard Numerous people LOVING how it sounds.

Lol, I like the Jaw Drop line. I can't wait to buy & check out Behind Enemy Lines. Great audio on the regular SD, so I can only drool (bad visual, sorry!) over thinking what the BLURAY will sound like.

ps--"Another Dude" - "Aerodude73" -- we related?!

They are simply based on post counts. 2,000 gets you to "Guru" and 5,000 makes you a "King".

Welcome to the site.
