Default photo recovery

Hello. So my wife deleted some photo's from the laptop. She was trying to burn them. Anyways, they're not in the recycle bin. Is there any way to recover? Thanks.

I'd usually avoid anything free unless a personally trusted source says it is free of viruses and malware.

No back-ups?!? The three rules of preventing data loss:

1. multiple back-ups (more than one in case something happens to your primary)
2. multiple ways (can be CD-R, DVD-R, external hard drive, thumb drive, cloud)
3. stored in multiple places (keeping the backup with the computer still means data loss if both are stolen or destroyed in a fire)

NO idea if it is spyware or not but I believe I've used PC Inspector File Recovery in the past. Give one a go, I've good success with them in the past.

What OS are you using?

If you're using Windows and have restore points set up then you can right click on the affected folder, select Properties, and click on the Previous Versions tab. If there are any restore points available they should show up in the list. You can select a specific restore point and click Open. If the files that were deleted are there then you can can simply copy them and paste them to you destination folder.

Every site I go to has a lot of spam and then you have to pay for it. I think the wife is over it though. Lesson learned.

I'd be looking at Recuva as suggested by someone else . I've used it with good results..They have a free version available....Most of these processes to be successful are dependent on whether or not the space has been overwritten by new data....

I don't think Restore would work as it only restores the Operating System, not documents etc., if I remember correctly....Correct me if I'm wrong...

I have also used this with great success... especially for memory cards that get corrupted!
