Default Comcast suppose to buy out NBC?

Have any of you heard the rumors that Comcast might buy out NBC? Is this true?

This happened a long time ago. The final transfer is happening soon. GE sold the controlling interest but will still own part of the company. Comcast is likely to keep the status quo as for the shows but word is and thank goodness ZUCKER IS OUT.

The only thing holding it up is Congress, checking out the legality of it.

It would seem like a huge conflict of interest that a cable provider would buy a controlling interest in one of the biggest networks in the US. I'd doubt its legality myself.

you would think Comcast would play keep away with NBC from Dish and Direct TV.

There's a good chance the merger will be approved, but there are going to be severe restrictions on it, namely that they can't unfairly restrict access to competitors. The merger has union backing, and the governors of California, Pennsylvania, and New York have publicly supported the merger, saying it should make the industry stronger. GE will maintain 49% ownership of GE.

Yeah, and this wouldn't be a complete American buyout until the man who ran the company into the ground, Jeff Zucker, got a $35 million dollar severance. I hope he learned his lesson! They really showed him! When I read that was his payout my jaw dropped he put thousands of people out of work, so he could Big Jaw that time slot, and canceled so many great shows over the past few years, he is beyond a hack and failure and they gave him $35 million, that is just insanity that you can only find in american business.
