For my Movie Director Mount Rushmore, I'd probably go with...
Alfred Hitchcock Akira Kurosawa John Ford Jean-Luc Godard For a Movie Director Mount Rushmore, try to go with the four movie directors whom you believe have had the greatest overall influence on the filmmaking world. My personal favorite films were directed by Jean-Pierre Melville, and my personal favorite current director is Terrence Malick, but both of these have taken influence from the above four. It's a tough call, though. Alfred Hitchcock and Akira Kurosawa came to mind instantly, but I could have just as easily listed Orson Welles, Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, or Stanley Kubrick for the other slots.
