I have had my 73'' Mitsubishi DLP 1080i for about 2 years now, never had a problem.
I recently switched my HDMI input to ANT1 input to play my original Nintendo NES on 73'' of fun. When I was finished, I tried changing my input back to HDMI, but I can't. PROBLEM: Everytime I press "Device" (to change inputs) on the TV, it freezes for a few seconds, and then shuts off. Everytime I press "Input" (to change inputs) on the remote, the screen turns blue.. then shuts off. I pressed the reset button on the front of the TV, but it doesnt do anything but change my video setting back to default. PLEASE IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME. I am stuck watching TV on my ANT1 input and it is driving me crazy! Thanks for your time. |

Turn the TV off. Disconnect the Ant in and other cables. Connect only your HDMI cable from your receiver/blu-ray. Unplug the TV for a few minutes. Plug it back on and go through the setup menu and change the input. Hopefully, it will work.
I have the 73" Mitsubishi Diamond Series 1080p. Every few days, it changes from HDMI input to antena-in (channel 3). I have to go back and change the input through the menu. My guess is that it is because our DirecTV receiver is connected to the TV by regular cable through the VCR and also directly by HDMI cable. We also have a small TV in the kitchen that is connected to the DirecTV receiver by regular cable. I have noticed that when my wife watches the news in the morning in the kitchen without turning the Mitsubishi on or if she turns the Misubishi off without turning off the DirecTV receiver, it usually happens. As far as I am concerned it is a minor nuisance. I love the picture quality of the DLP TV. It has far better contrast and black levels than most LCDs.
