Checking to see if anyone ever got this.

I'd read up on Lloyd recently and found out about her struggles with mental health issues. I always wondered why she seemed to disappear suddenly after Cookie.
Apparently she wrote a memoir about it too.

This is where I'd typically say "I guess I have to wait another couple weeks to hear some impressions" but judging by the activity in this thread, it doesn't look like I should be waiting for that day to come anytime soon.

I haven't checked out the disc yet, but the physical package is very pleasing. I'm glad they didn't just dump it out as a bare-bones/no effort release.

I was disappointed when this didn't initially get a release when Spirit re-issued a number of Film4 titles about 4 years ago (alongside LOCAL HERO), but I'm guessing that the 4K restoration may have been planned at that point so they decided to hold fire on it.

Either way, delighted it's finally out and can't wait to check out the movie again.

You can get it with free shipping for £15.99 from HMV's eBay store. I ordered yesterday and they shipped it today.

As common practice with Amazon, international sales for this title may well be banned. Is definitely available for British customers, as can get it delivered tomorrow morning with Prime.

Its showing in stock for me on Amazon UK. Still waiting for them to ship my pre-order though (15th June is the estimated delivery date).

This has become a common Amazon thing. It's fine to pre-order and it'll be available up until the point it goes live on release day and then suddenly it'll disappear.

Same happens with stuff on the US site. I'm fine pre-ordering, but miss your window and try and do it release day onward and nope, disappeared....

Yes they seem to want to move you on to an Amazon Global Store sale on your home site post release date.

This means you are usually paying a higher price and don't benefit from future price discounting on the original Amazon site.

e.g. for those of us in the UK by being forced to use Global Store we miss out when Amazon.com price match the 50% off Criterion sales by the likes of Barnes & Noble. They tend to keep at their "regular" price rather than passing on the discount.

Finally got this and it's a great transfer.

Not seen it since its original cinema release.

Disc is locked B.

The price point around £19.99 on this was just too high.
