Is DTS Master 6.1 same as 7.1?

X3 Last Stand has DTS Master 6.1 but i had 7.1 speakers, would i able to enjoy the sound in all my speaker, what are difference between 6.1 to 7.1 dts master, does center get sound from 6.1 dts master.

I believe the difference betweeon 6.1 and 7.1 is just the surround speakers. 6.1 has one rear center speaker, where 7.1 has left and right rear speakers... If you have a 7.1 system, I would assume it would just play the rear center out of both of your rear surrounds...

if you have 7.1 speaker set up you will get the same sound on both the rear center speakers (ch 6 and 7). they will be mono. on a 7.1 dts ma track, both channels are slightly different (descrete)

I don't think he's asking what the speaker setups are. He's asking how the surround formats play out of each setup. More specifically, playing a 6.1 source on a 7.1 system.
